The founders of Pharmacology Weekly are licensed, practicing healthcare professionals who recognize the need for affordable, concise, peer-reviewed, unbiased answers to important patient care questions encountered in everyday practice. Our aim is to bridge the gap between "why" health care providers use medications with "what" is done or "seen" in every day clinical practice. This goes beyond basic fact or guideline driven memorization towards a true scientific and evidence based understanding of how drugs affect the patients we serve.
The information contained in our unique newsletters and podcasts are aimed at enhancing health care professionals' understanding of pharmacologic principles behind clinical practice in a convenient and relevant way in order to better prepare them for their courses, rotations, licensures, board certifications, and everyday practice. In addition, our newsletters are specifically designed to allow health care professionals to decide how far they want to increase their learning or knowledge. The details are there for those who want to go deeper and further increase their knowledge base. For busy clinicians, our easy to use format allows one to go directly to the sections of the newsletter that best meets their needs.
We also strive to maintain the highest standards set by reputable accrediting agencies for published medical information, continuing education, and business ethics and practices. To help maintain objectivity, we do not accept any outside grant support or form of advertising from a company or organization that would be perceived as a conflict of interest (e.g., pharmaceutical, medical device or laboratory company) or whose mission and/or goals conflict with ours in any way. Furthermore, we do not accept any outside grant support, or sponsorship nor are any of our board members employed by any outside institutions that would be considered a conflict of interest. We desire to hold to the highest standards and maintain transparency in order to provide completely unbiased medical information.
Lastly, we desire to positively impact and encourage the next generation of health care providers in their professional development while concurrently giving back to those in training through our fundraising program and affordable subscription prices.
Thank you for what you do for your patients and your commitment to life-long learning. Check out some of our FREE Newsletters Issues or Online Clinical Tools.
